Tree Confessions is a site-specific audio play: download the audio play, sit under your favourite tree, and let her tell you what happened when a scientist came to visit.
Presenting the world’s first play told entirely from the point of view of a tree. To experience this site-specific audio play, find a tree near you, sit under it (or nearby), press play, and listen to the tree’s confessions.
Tree Confessions premiered in the “Beuys for Future” exhibit in Berlin, and went on to the Brighton, Philadelphia, Melbourne, and Camden Fringe festivals, where it has received rave reviews: “Moving and powerful.” But don’t pay attention to what humans say – listen to the tree.
This concept is so interesting and different. Hearing what a tree has to say is truly an experience rather than just a play. Tree Confessions is brilliant and well thought out. I think it also speaks to something important we should think about and consider regarding our place in the environment and how we coexist. I highly recommend this beautiful experience.
